AXOR INDUSTRY

AXOR is the No. 1 full-cycle plant in Ukraine and one of the largest plants in this industry in the post-Soviet countries. Advanced technology covers every stage of production. Casting, stamping, coating and final assembly are performed by specially trained staff on high-tech equipment, using quality European-made raw materials.

AXOR INDUSTRY eco-production
AXOR INDUSTRY's production processes are organized to preserve the safety of people and the environment. The work is based on careful use of resources, such as a sensible waste disposal system and water "recovery".

AXOR laboratory
AXOR INDUSTRY pays special attention to the quality and high performance of the hardware it produces. To control hardware quality, the plant's own certified laboratory, equipped with advanced instruments, works around the clock. It runs the full cycle of required hardware tests: opening-cycle testing, hinge group resistance to increased loads, and corrosion resistance tests.

AXOR quality control
The high quality of AXOR products is confirmed by the IFT Rosenheim institute (Germany) and meets DSTU and GOST requirements. Test results show that AXOR hardware withstands more than 15,000 tilt-and-turn cycles and more than 10,000 turn cycles of window opening, equivalent to 15 years of active window use.
AXOR INDUSTRY is confident in the flawless quality of its products and therefore gives a 10-year warranty on every set of its hardware.

Protective hardware coating
Window hardware is constantly exposed to harmful environmental factors. With this in mind, AXOR INDUSTRY developed the unique Total Protect Technology coating. This special patented protective coating of AXOR hardware ensures high resistance to corrosion throughout the service life.
Based on test results, AXOR hardware has been assigned the highest, 5th class of corrosion resistance under EN 1670 (IFT Rosenheim laboratory, Germany).

Komfort Line K-3 hardware is the first in the AXOR INDUSTRY product line for inward-opening PVC windows and doors. The system gives consumers a high level of reliability and functionality while keeping the price appeal of a standard-class system. Windows with Komfort Line K-3 hardware perform well, can be fitted with all additional options and equipped with several burglar-resistant elements.

Smart Line S+ hardware is AXOR INDUSTRY's conceptual solution for offering the maximum of possibilities at the consumer's request. Even in its basic configuration this line includes a sash lifter with mishandling device, micro-slot ventilation and 5 locking points. Fitted exclusively with burglar-resistant cams, Smart Line S+ hardware allows a window to be equipped to several burglar-resistance levels, including the highest under international standards — WK2. At the same time, the design solutions in Smart Line S+ make this hardware not only reliable in use but also faster and more convenient to install.

Door Line DL door locks are the AXOR INDUSTRY product line of mortise multi-point locks, short single-point locks and bathroom door locks. The closed, all-steel case of AXOR locks gives the unit a finished, attractive look and protects all its parts from dust and construction debris getting into the mechanism. Door Line DL locks have a latch bolt that can be adjusted when the door's closing direction needs to change. Door Line DL multi-point locks can be "extended" around the perimeter of the leaf, allowing additional locking elements (extensions) to be fitted that press the leaf tightly to the frame and keep the unit airtight regardless of door height.

1. Retainers in the hardware groove for all sash components hold the hardware element in place until the screws are driven and stop it shifting from its design position while the screws are driven.

2. The fixing holes in the bottom and top hinge supports are designed so that all screws go into the frame reinforcement.

3. Guide pins 5 mm long and 3 mm in diameter hold the bottom sash hinge securely in place until it is fixed (screwed).

4. Inside the bottom sash hinge there is a bushing with a position lock made of high-strength polymer, which stops the adjustment screw unscrewing when the sash turns.

5. Sash lifter with mishandling device (left/right). The center position is held until installation. Works with a rebate clearance of 10.5 to 14 mm. The frame part can be adjusted in height by ±1 mm if needed.

6. Universal stay hinge for left and right opening. Compression adjustment in the stay ±1 mm.

7. Secure connection of the center lock to the stay with a screw.

8. When the top hinge support pin joins the top stay hinge, it is held rigidly and securely by a special high-strength polymer bushing, which rules out disconnection.

9. The strike plates are made of wear-resistant ZAMAK alloy (zinc, aluminum, copper). Wear over 20,000 opening cycles does not exceed the limits set by DSTU.

10. Micro-slot ventilation opens the sash by 6 mm to air the room without significant heat loss.

1. Right- and left-hand stays with the trigger threshold of the integrated sash closer increased to 20 mm.

2. Smart corner connection — a simple, secure connection of the stay to the center lock with a special clip, which makes installation more comfortable.

3. Pin locking. The bottom hinge support pin folds back 180°, which avoids contact between the screwdriver bit holder and the pin base when driving the bottom screw.

4. The stepped cut removes the need to move the slider on the corner drive, and the elements are held securely with a screw.

5. The load-bearing pin of the bottom sash hinge (6x26 mm) is made of high-strength steel and integrated into the hinge body for extra strength on heavy sashes.

6. Stepped locking of the fold-back angle of the bottom hinge support pin prevents it from shifting on its own during installation.

7. Retainers for the hardware groove allow the hardware to be pre-fixed on the sash and stop it shifting from its design position during final fixing with screws.

8. Stepped ventilation can be fitted to an already installed window.

9. Secure fixing of the top hinge support to the frame stay thanks to a special high-strength polymer bushing, which rules out spontaneous disconnection of the elements.

10. Compression on the bottom sash hinge can be adjusted within +/-0.8 mm.

11. Mushroom cams allow the window to be equipped to burglar-resistance requirements.

12. Burglar-resistant strike plates combined with mushroom cams make it harder for an intruder to break in through the window.

The Door Line DL group includes mortise multi-point locks, short single-point locks and bathroom door locks.

1. Easy change of door opening direction
The latch bolt in a door lock determines the door's opening direction. The AXOR Door Line DL lock is designed so that the opening direction can easily be changed (right or left) with a simple movement — pull the latch toward you and turn it 180°. This can be done on a lock already installed in the door.

2. Extending the gear
The AXOR Door Line DL range includes locks whose gear can be "extended" around the perimeter of the leaf, allowing additional locking elements that press the door leaf tightly to the frame and keep the unit airtight.

3. Use of a pull handle
The AXOR Door Line DL range includes locks fitted with a roller latch for a pull (push) handle.

4. Lever handle sets with 3-screw fixing
The structure of AXOR Door Line DL locks allows lever handle sets with three fixing points (European standard), which fixes the handle set securely to the door and extends its service life.

5. The deadbolt in AXOR Door Line DL locks
The key-operated rail lock has a steel deadbolt. The handle-operated rail lock and the short mortise lock with a 35 mm backset have a deadbolt with steel pins, which gives the door greater protection against break-in.

6. Burglar-resistant cams
AXOR Door Line DL locks can be made with mushroom cams to give the lock burglar-resistant properties.

7. Individual branding
AXOR Door Line DL locks have a special seat for branding: a metal plate with your logo is fitted to the lock's faceplate. A logo on the lock is durable, non-standard advertising that gives the product individuality and successfully promotes your brand.

The stay
This component lets a window or door be tilted for ventilation.
The stay is designed so that the sash does not slam shut in a sudden gust of wind. The mishandling device built into the AXOR stay prevents the handle being turned wrongly in the tilt position. And a special closer in the stay makes closing the window easier by pulling the sash toward the frame.

Corner drive (corner transmission)
A hardware part that transmits the linear movement from the window handle around the perimeter of the sash to the other hardware components, around a corner.

The main working element of the corner drive is three thin plates of stainless spring steel. The plates are not joined to each other across their faces, yet they work together. Each plate is 0.8 mm thick and 8.9 mm wide; the length varies with the type of corner drive. The AXOR Komfort Line K-3 range includes: standard corner drive; corner drive with 1 or 2 mushroom cams; narrow corner drive; narrow corner drive with mushroom cam; corner drive for stepped ventilation.

Bottom hinge group
The bottom hinge group consists of the bottom hinge fitted on the sash and the bottom hinge support fitted on the frame. The main purpose of the bottom hinges is to bear the load and prevent the sashes of a PVC window from sagging.
The hinges have adjustments that allow their parameters to be changed when needed, which helps restore the window's function if large, heavy sashes sag, or hide installation defects.

The AXOR range includes 4 types of bottom sash hinge and 2 types of bottom hinge support.
All AXOR bottom sash hinges have ± 2 mm sash height adjustment.

Top hinge group
The top hinges secure the sash reliably to the frame (like the bottom hinges), but have their own installation specifics.
The Komfort Line K-3 top hinge group consists of the top hinge support and the stay hinge.
2 types of top hinge support: top hinge support for 100 kg; reinforced top hinge support for up to 130 kg.
The stay hinge in the AXOR Komfort Line K-3 system is universal and suits left and right opening.

Fanlight hinge
A hardware component that lets the sash work in the tilt (fanlight) position. The fanlight hinge is used exclusively for assembling tilt (fanlight) units.

The fanlight hinge looks like a center hinge. They should not be confused, though, or the whole product may malfunction. The design difference of the fanlight hinge is its adjustment screw. The AXOR fanlight hinge adjusts vertically and horizontally by ± 2 mm and is intended for sashes of no more than 50 kg.

AXOR hinges are additionally fitted with decorative covers in various colors.

Sash lifter with mishandling device
A special dual-action hardware component that ensures the window works correctly. The sash lifter raises the sash as the window closes and gives the sash an extra support point, taking the load off the window hinges. Thanks to this component the window closes more softly and the sash does not sag in use. The mishandling device prevents wrong opening of the window and wrong turning of the handle when the sash is tilted or open. In other words, if the sash was tilted and then not fully closed, the mishandling device will not let the window close in the wrong position.

Micro-slot ventilation (micro-ventilation)
An additional component fitted to the window hardware which, when the handle is turned 45 degrees upward, creates a small 6 mm gap between the sash and the frame. This function is very useful in the cold season, as it provides fresh air without significant heat loss. Micro-slot ventilation also prevents condensation on the window glass and the walls of the apartment. From a security standpoint, the gap of a window opened this way is not noticeable from outside — the PVC window looks closed. This component can be fitted to a new window unit or to an already installed window or balcony door.

Stepped ventilation (step-by-step ventilation)
An additional option of PVC window hardware that creates an optimal indoor climate. A sash fitted with the AXOR stepped ventilation mechanism tilts to 3 fixed positions. The tilt range (12 to 20 mm) is set by turning the handle 45 degrees upward. In these positions the sash is held securely, which prevents the window from slamming in wind or a draft. Stepped ventilation is especially effective in the transitional seasons, when fresh air is needed but strong, brief one-off airing is not.
This hardware component can be fitted to a new window unit or to an already installed window or balcony door.

Balcony latch
A balcony door latch is an auxiliary hardware component that lets the balcony door be held shut from outside. There are two basic types of balcony latch: mechanical and magnetic. Mechanical latches wear out quickly because of their design and material. Magnetic ones are more modern and practical. A magnetic balcony latch works by attracting a metal plate to a body with a magnet. Despite the simple mechanism, a magnetic balcony latch holds the door reliably, preventing it from being opened by a draft, for example. The magnetic latch design is universal and suits a door of practically any material.

Burglar resistance is a window criterion that protects property (a house, an apartment) from intruders in the owner's absence. Hardware plays a big part in improving the protective qualities of a window unit.
Burglar-resistant hardware components include mushroom cams, shoot bolts, hooks, strike plates, anti-drill handle plates, lockable window handles and others, which make breaking in through the window much harder for intruders.

Mushroom cam — a special hardware component made of high-strength steel. It is mushroom-shaped and has special "catches" that engage with the burglar-resistant strike plate on the frame when the window closes. This connection is a reliable obstacle to levering the sash out — one of the most common ways of breaking into a room.

Burglar-resistance classes of window hardware under DIN V ENV 1627:2011
RC1 (WK1): basic protection against physical force, e.g. a kick or a shoulder. Burglar-resistant strike plates and corner drives with burglar-resistant cams that have mushroom-shaped, height-adjustable heads protect your window or balcony door from being levered at the four corners of the sash. Anti-drill protection and a lockable handle further increase the level of protection.

RC2 (WK2): protection against tools such as a screwdriver, pliers or wedges. Builds on class 1. Burglar-resistant locking cams around the perimeter of the sash further strengthen the window unit. This means the hardware and the window frame withstand increased loads.

RC3 (WK3): protection against break-in with a crowbar or pry bar. In addition to the burglar-resistant cams already present in classes RC1 and RC2, burglar-resistant locking cams are added on the corner drive and the stay of the sash, which significantly shortens the distance between locking points and further hinders break-in attempts.
