GlassBase
GlassBase is an independent platform for the U.S. glass, window, facade, and door market. We do not manufacture windows and we do not sell them. We build the neutral layer the market has been missing: one place where systems, products, and the companies behind them can be compared on what they actually deliver in a real building.
At the center is the Window Performance Simulator. Configure a window on a real profile system and glazing package, and the engine returns U-factor and SHGC, 30-year energy savings and payback for the project's ZIP code, daylight and overheating comfort, condensation risk, and acoustics. Each result is placed next to a typical window in the same climate and delivered as a branded PDF the buyer can keep. The climate model is built on NREL TMY3 data, so the same window in Miami and in Minneapolis does not get the same answer.
