URBAN Showcased New Corner Break Tester at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas
URBAN presented its new Corner Break Tester at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas. The company introduced its latest testing equipment, designed to simplify quality control and improve testing efficiency in window and door manufacturing.
The new Corner Break Tester helps manufacturers evaluate the strength of welded corners in vinyl (PVC) window and door profiles. URBAN developed the equipment to meet current AAMA testing standards while making the testing process easier for operators.
The machine features a user-friendly design, built-in cameras for better process visibility, and an integrated barcode identification system for tracking test samples. IoT connectivity allows the tester to communicate with URBAN welding platforms, supporting data exchange between production and quality control.
URBAN also introduced two configuration options: a PC-based system with advanced data logging capabilities and a standard version with a digital force display. These options allow manufacturers to select a solution that matches their testing and documentation requirements.
The new tester aims to simplify routine inspections, improve access to test results, and help manufacturers identify potential production issues.
The presentation at GlassBuild America highlighted URBAN's continued focus on practical automation, quality control, and connected manufacturing technology.
