This Privacy Policy describes how GlassBase Inc., a Florida corporation, with its registered address at 2530 N Powerline Rd Ste 401, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 (“GlassBase,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit or use glassbase.com, including our window-performance simulator, contact and lead forms, and user accounts (collectively, the “Service”).
Scope. This policy covers glassbase.com only. Products offered on separate subdomains (for example, dpp.glassbase.com) are governed by their own privacy policies.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), company name and role if you provide them.
- Contact and lead forms: name, email address, phone number, company, and the content of your message or request.
- Communications: correspondence you send us, including support requests.
1.2 Simulator inputs
Window configurations and related technical parameters you enter into the simulator (dimensions, glass, profile, and hardware selections, performance settings) are technical data and are generally not personal information. Where simulator inputs are linked to your account, we treat the link to your account as personal information.
1.3 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, referring URLs, timestamps, and interactions with the Service.
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 3.
1.4 Information from third parties
If you interact with us through a third-party service (for example, an analytics or email platform), we may receive technical data from that provider as described in this policy.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, health, or biometric data), and we ask that you do not submit it through the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including your account and saved simulator configurations;
- respond to contact and lead-form inquiries and provide customer support;
- send transactional emails (account, security, and service notices);
- send marketing emails where permitted by law — you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in each message;
- analyze usage to improve the Service, develop features, and fix problems;
- protect the security and integrity of the Service, prevent fraud and abuse;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Essential / functional: keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure the Service. These are required for the Service to work.
- Analytics: understand how visitors use the Service via Google Analytics, which may set its own cookies and collect usage and device data on our behalf.
You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may limit Service functionality. Where required by law, we request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only with:
- Service providers (processors) that support the Service under contracts limiting their use of your data to our instructions, including Hetzner (infrastructure, hosting, and email) and Google Analytics (usage analytics);
- Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, auditors) where necessary;
- Authorities and other parties where required by law, to protect rights, safety, or property, or to enforce our terms;
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:
- Account data: for the life of your account and up to 12 months after deletion, unless a longer period is required by law;
- Lead and contact-form data: up to 24 months after our last interaction;
- Usage and analytics data: in identifiable form for up to 14 months, then deleted or aggregated;
- Records we must keep by law (e.g., tax and accounting): for the statutory period.
When retention ends, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the data.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.
7. International Data Transfers
We operate internationally, and your personal information may be processed in the United States, the European Economic Area (EEA), and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where personal information originating in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), supplemented where appropriate. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards via info@glassbase.com.
8. Your US State Privacy Rights
This section applies to residents of US states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), and similar laws in other states.
8.1 Categories of personal information
In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories (as defined by the CCPA): identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); customer records (company, role); commercial information (inquiries, account activity); internet or network activity (usage, device, and cookie data); inferences drawn from usage for service improvement. Sources, purposes, and recipients are described in Sections 1, 2, and 4.
8.2 Sale / sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit under the CPRA.
8.3 Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- know / access the personal information we hold about you, including in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete your personal information;
- opt out of sale, sharing/targeted advertising, and certain profiling (not applicable, as we do neither);
- non-discrimination — we will not deny you the Service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your rights;
- appeal a refusal of your request (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and certain other states). If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
8.4 Exercising your rights
Submit requests to info@glassbase.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity (typically by matching your email address and account information) and respond within the time required by your state’s law (generally 45 days, extendable once). You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
8.5 Universal opt-out signals
Because we do not sell or share personal information, opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control currently have no effect on our processing. If our practices change, we will honor such signals as required by law.
9. Your European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
This section applies to individuals in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — and, if GlassBase Inc. is established in the EU, to our processing generally. GlassBase Inc. is the controller of personal information described in this policy.
9.1 Legal bases
We process personal data on the following bases:
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): account creation and operation, providing the simulator and responding to your requests;
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): securing and improving the Service, first-party analytics, B2B lead follow-up, and marketing to existing customers — balanced against your rights;
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): non-essential cookies and marketing emails where consent is required; you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing;
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): tax, accounting, and compliance duties.
9.2 Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests — including an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Contact us at info@glassbase.com; we will respond within one month (extendable by two months for complex requests).
9.3 Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence, workplace, or the place of the alleged infringement. If we are established in Germany, our lead supervisory authority is the data protection authority of the German state in which we are established.
9.4 Transfers
International transfers are safeguarded as described in Section 7 (SCCs).
9.5 Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects (Art. 22 GDPR).
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is a professional and consumer window-performance platform and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact info@glassbase.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as email to account holders or a prominent notice on the Service) before the changes take effect.
