Alumil Adds Low-Track Option to Its SMARTIA M450 Sliding System
Alumil has expanded its aluminum sliding system lineup with the SMARTIA M450 LT (Low Track). The LT version brings a 25 mm (0.984 in) side and bottom track height designed to meet growing demand for flush-floor transitions in both residential and commercial construction.
The M450 LT addresses two segments where low-threshold solutions are increasingly critical: the retrofit and replacement market, where existing slab conditions limit how high a track can sit, and accessibility-driven design, where ADA-compliant and barrier-free access is a project requirement or owner preference.
The system preserves the slim, clean sightlines of the original M450 — a 25 mm interlocking profile width — making it compatible with modern residential architecture and commercial glazing applications that prioritize unobstructed views and indoor-outdoor continuity.
The SMARTIA M450 LT gives our partners a practical answer to one of the most common field constraints — the need for low-profile, high-performing sliding doors that don't compromise on weather resistance or design. Whether it's a ground-floor retrofit or a new build where level access matters, this system fits.
