Chelsea Building Products Launches C CORE®, a PVC-Based Composite Reinforcement for Window Systems
Chelsea Building Products, Inc. has developed C CORE®, a non-metal, PVC-based composite reinforcement system designed to improve the thermal efficiency of PVC window profiles. The company developed C CORE® to give window manufacturers a practical alternative to traditional metal reinforcement.

C CORE® replaces metal reinforcement inside PVC window systems with a composite material that performs structurally while reducing thermal bridging. Metal reinforcement has long been a common component in PVC window fabrication, but it can limit a window system's thermal performance — an increasing concern as building codes tighten and energy efficiency standards rise.

By eliminating metal from the reinforcement equation, C CORE® helps window manufacturers achieve better U-factor ratings, which directly affects ENERGY STAR qualification and NFRC certification. For manufacturers targeting energy-efficient residential and commercial projects, that matters.
