GlassBuild America Adds Innovation Lounge to Spotlight New Glass Technology
GlassBuild America announced a new feature for its 2026 trade show: the Innovation Lounge, a dedicated showcase area for recently launched and soon-to-launch products from exhibitors. The addition gives attendees a single location to track emerging technology trends across the glass, window, and door industry, rather than searching booth by booth across the show floor.

GlassBuild America takes place September 23-25 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Organizers bill it as the largest glass, window, and door trade show in North America.

The Innovation Lounge will stay open throughout all show hours. Organizers have divided the space into five zones: Artificial Intelligence, Technology, Robotics, Sustainability, and Architectural Glass.

Each zone targets a different part of the glass and fenestration supply chain, from manufacturing floor operations to finished building products.

The AI zone will demonstrate how artificial intelligence tools are changing how glass and fenestration companies design, quote, and manufacture products. According to GlassBuild America, predictive systems in this category aim to cut material waste and shorten lead times by giving production staff more data-driven guidance during planning and quoting.

The Technology zone will focus on connected systems used in glass operations. Exhibits will cover workflow digitization, CNC (computer numerical control) machinery upgrades, and integration between ERP (enterprise resource planning) software and production lines. ERP systems are the business software companies use to manage orders, inventory, and scheduling; connecting them directly to shop-floor equipment allows data to move automatically between the office and the plant.

The Robotics zone will include live demonstrations of automated equipment. Planned exhibits include robotic arms designed to handle large-format glass, collaborative robots — machines built to work alongside human operators without safety cages — and automated processing systems aimed at fabricators of varying production volumes.

The Sustainability zone will feature products and processes intended to reduce energy use, cut waste, and lower the carbon footprint of glass across production and installation. GlassBuild America frames this zone as a response to the glass industry's role in broader efforts to make buildings more energy efficient.

The Architectural Glass zone will focus on finished building products, including insulating glass units (IGUs) — sealed multi-pane assemblies used to improve a window's thermal performance — and specialty laminated glass used on building façades. GlassBuild America is positioning this zone for architects, glazing contractors, and product specifiers.

GlassBuild America 2026 runs September 23-25 in Las Vegas. The show covers equipment, products, and services across the glass, window, and door sectors and includes exhibit space for companies across the supply chain.
